Functional storage, no advertising tracking
The current app does not set advertising or analytics cookies and uses cookieless Vercel Web Analytics, without advertising scripts. It uses localStorage and the browser cache for the functions listed below. These technologies also count as device storage, even when they are not cookies. Hosting or security infrastructure may process technical request data.
Storage needed to deliver a service you explicitly request is covered by the exception in section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. A cookie-consent banner is therefore not shown for these functional uses. This is not permission for future tracking: any non-essential tracking added later must remain inactive until valid consent has been obtained.
Control and removal
You can change language, appearance and the library layout in the app. Signing out removes this account’s local offline cache and pending checks; app assets and display preferences remain. Clearing Stowtrail’s site data in your browser removes local storage and cached app files and may sign you out. It does not delete your server-side account or packing lists. Synchronize pending packing checks first, otherwise unsynced changes may be lost. Blocking browser storage can prevent persistent sign-in and offline use.
Optional offline photo downloads can be removed in the list’s Offline download section and are cleared on sign-out. Photos still referenced by another download remain until that download is removed or you sign out.

- Refreshed as you use the app; queued changes removed after sync, both removed on sign-out or when site data is cleared.
stowtrail-shell-… (Cache Storage / service worker)
- Purpose
- Cache the application shell and same-origin static files for offline loading.
- Duration / removal
- Old app versions are removed when the service worker updates; otherwise until browser eviction or clearing site data.
stowtrail-photos.v1.… (Cache Storage)
- Purpose
- Optional account-specific photo files and download manifests for lists you explicitly prepare for offline use.
- Duration / removal
- Until no remaining download needs the photo, sign-out, browser eviction or clearing site data; download again after changing photos.
